GRAPHIC DESIGN´S IMPORTANCE IN THE WORLD OF FASHION

Within fashion marketing, graphic design holds an undeniable power to influence both consumer perceptions and emotions. The judicious use of graphic elements can also evoke feelings that motivate consumers to form deep connections with the brands they like, inspiring lasting feelings of loyalty towards favored labels. Although storytelling plays an unquestionably crucial role in fostering these connections over time, it is often through creative designs that consumers form lasting visual impressions that are closely synchronized with their overall experiences related to those brands. By consistently applying specific stylistic cues in their graphics over time, fashion brands can reinforce strong associations between distinctive visual characteristics for individual customer groups, emblematically fueling bonds of loyalty based on strong identification. By deconstructing different aesthetic approaches, the research aimed to understand the strategic utilization of visual elements to target specific demographics and evoke desired emotional responses.

BACK TO SCHOOL

MAGAZINE LAYOUT DESIGN

As part of my Master's in Fashion Image, I completed a project that involved photographing fashion items and creating a layout for a fashion design magazine. I chose the theme of 'Back to School' and delved into the latest trends and styles for the collegiate look. The layout showcases a curated selection of pieces, including plaid shirts, skirts, and accessories, paired with thought-provoking imagery and editorial content. This project allowed me to hone my skills in visual storytelling and demonstrate my understanding of fashion trends and aesthetics.
